General Description
July Business Services is a national retirement plan services firm headquartered in Waco, Texas with a nationwide remote workforce. JULY provides high quality retirement plan administration services, including a 401(k) recordkeeping platform, plan administration services, and integrated payroll to investment advisors, employers, and employees across the U.S.
We are now seeking candidates for the position of Client Service Manager to work on a team with other retirement plan professionals to support the service needs of our retirement plan clients and their investment advisors.
Objectives and Duties

- Serve as the primary contact for retirement plan sponsors and advisors
- Build strong relationships with clients and advisors through delivery of our value propositions to ensure satisfaction and longevity
- Ensure ongoing client satisfaction and client’s willingness to be a reference
- Facilitate the majority of the communication efforts between JULY and our clients/advisors
- Monitor annual plan projects, calendars, and milestones
- Maintain knowledge regarding industry trends and legislative/regulatory requirements and changes
- Respond to plan sponsors and advisors’ questions related to all aspects of their retirement plan including plan design
- Work with client and advisor to increase plan participation, investment diversification and retirement readiness
- Promote automatic plan features
- Proactively request information and alert clients to plan operational and compliance matters
- Prioritize, research and resolve client questions related to technology, plan operation, compliance and other matters
- Reach out to subject matter experts when the situation demands: ERISA Consulting, Recordkeeping, Distributions, Plan Administration, Participant Services, Technology
- Utilize strong communication and service skills to exceed the needs of clients
- Know and understand JULY’s business model, strengths and product offering
- Interact with advisors and other vendors to coordinate a high-quality client experience
- Understand and be able to communicate key recordkeeping functions
- Communicate annual plan compliance results and annual tax filings
- Document projects and responses within JULYs CRM software tool
Skills / Experience / Credentials
- 3+ Years Retirement Plan Experience
- Experience in Retirement Plan Administration and Recordkeeping is a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Certifications through ASPPA, including QKA or equivalent—or must be willing to work towards ASPPA credentials
