JULY BUSINESS SERVICES TAPS STADION’S STORYLINE 401(K) SOLUTION FOR RETIREMENT PLAN PLATFORM
Watkinsville, Ga., March 26, 2018
Stadion Money Management, known for its participant- level, customized retirement solutions, today announced that July Business Services (JULY), a leading national retirement plan provider, has added Stadion’s managed account solution, StoryLine, built with SPDR® ; ETFs, to its retirement platform. July Business Services provides custom plan design and hands-on services for plan setup, operation and administration. JULY is one of the nation’s premier independent retirement plan recordkeepers with a long history of high-touch service, plan design expertise, investment flexibility and advanced technology.
“We are thrilled that July Business Services is adding StoryLine to its retirement plan offering,” said Jud Doherty, President & CEO of Stadion Money Management. “JULY and Stadion share similar views on the necessity for customized participant-level retirement solutions, and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with them. Additionally, JULY’s focus on improving participants’ retirement experience through technology is a great value-add.”
StoryLine, built with SPDR® ETFs, is an innovative retirement planning solution built specifically for 401(k) participants in advisor-sold plans. StoryLine offers plan level customization with the option of participant level customization, which Stadion sees as a distinct improvement over “one size fits all” target date strategies. StoryLine, which made its market debut in 2016, has approximately $600 million in AUM and approximately 1100 plans through year end.
“We are excited about adding Stadion as a solution for personalized participant account management to our open architecture retirement platform,” said John Humphrey, JULY’s President and CEO. “Stadion’s experience and approach to simplifying participant investing aligns nicely with JULY’s strategy of making retirement planning easy for employers and participants.”
StoryLine’s innovative approach recognizes every plan sponsor and employee as unique. Its participant-centric web interface is designed to encourage employees to define their individual investment paths based on personal risk profiles, expectations, and goals. StoryLine also allows – at the employee’s discretion – the inclusion of outside assets to facilitate more comprehensive retirement planning. The end goal of this is to have each participant on a retirement path personalized to their own circumstances and needs.
StoryLine helps financial advisors deepen their relationships with sponsors and participants by engaging them at the plan level with tailored solutions. In turn, sponsors are able to offer their employees access to individual personalized planning that goes beyond typical age- and risk-based investment strategies.
Since 1994, July Business Services has been a leading retirement plan provider that supports financial advisors and their clients by delivering successful retirement plan strategies through its fully independent, open-architecture retirement plan recordkeeping platform and plan administration services. JULY brings unbiased, expert knowledge to all facets of the retirement plan process including customized plan design, leading technology, and hands-on implementation and management of the plan.
