Adam Barker, CPFA

Adam Barker is Senior Vice President, Sales at JULY, where he leads the firm’s national sales organization and drives growth across its distribution channels. Based in Austin, Texas, Adam brings more than 20 years of experience in the retirement and financial services industry, including two decades at JULY.

Adam specializes in retirement plan sales strategy, advisor and TPA partner relationships, and consultative plan design. He works closely with financial advisors, TPA partners, and institutional relationships across the country to deliver tailored retirement plan solutions, and he plays a central role in expanding JULY’s sales footprint and building the teams that support it.

Adam’s career at JULY is a story of growth from the ground up. He joined the firm in 2006 as a Recordkeeping Specialist and went on to manage JULY’s outsourced operations team in Dhaka, Bangladesh, before moving into sales and business development. Over the years he has held progressively senior roles, including Director of Strategic Relationships, Regional Sales Director for the West Coast, Senior National Sales Director, and Vice President of TPA Partner Services, before being named Senior Vice President, Sales in 2025. He began his career at Sterling Trust Company in Waco, Texas.

Adam attended Baylor University and holds the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation from the National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA), where he has been a member since 2014.
Outside of work, Adam is an avid traveler who has visited 30 countries across six continents, though he’s quick to note the importance of a good home base. That home base includes Duke, his shepherd mix adopted from a South Los Angeles animal shelter, whom he calls one of the best things to ever happen to him.
