Michael Marks

Michael Marks is the Chief Financial Officer at JULY, where he leads the firm’s financial strategy and oversees accounting, reporting, and finance operations. Based in Houston, Texas, Michael brings more than a decade of experience spanning corporate finance, private equity, investment banking, and public accounting.

As CFO, Michael directs financial planning and analysis, capital management, and the reporting that supports JULY’s continued growth. He partners closely with leadership across the organization to align financial strategy with the firm’s long-term goals and brings a disciplined, analytical approach to every decision. His focus is on building the financial foundation that allows JULY to scale while continuing to deliver exceptional service to advisors, plan sponsors, and participants.

Michael joined JULY in 2024. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer at Exact Payments, a payments technology company, and spent several years in private equity at Platform Partners, where he was on the investment team partnering with mid-market companies across a range of industries. He began his career at Ernst & Young as an auditor before moving into investment banking, covering the oil and gas sector at Credit Suisse and KeyBanc Capital Markets. This combination of accounting, operating, investing, and M&A experience underpins his approach to finance and strategic growth at JULY.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master of Professional Accounting, both from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed through the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
