If you had the option to pursue a different career, what would it be?
“I grew up fully convinced I’d be an astronaut… minor hiccup: no launchpads in a third‑world childhood. So that dream stayed in space while I learned to rock the careers available to me. Later, I nearly reinvented myself as a school principal — don’t ask me why, even I don’t know. Kids just have this joy that rubs off on you. Reality tapped me on the shoulder and reminded me that my financial goals were not aligned with that paycheck. So, I thanked the dream for visiting and kept moving forward.”
Are you a good dancer?
“Well, if we’re talking ballroom‑level elegance… absolutely not. But if the goal is to feel the music, move with the beat, and have an amazing time? Then yes — 100%. I love salsa, merengue, and some classic 90s rock and hip hop. I’m basically one of those ‘you lose if you dance when the music starts’ reels… and I lose every time.”
If you could have a supernatural power, what would it be?
“Easy — flight. Traffic and honking? No thank you. I’d much rather soar over the chaos. Plus, imagine the views: mountains, oceans, countries — my bucket list would practically complete itself. After adventures in helicopters, planes and even jumping out of one (with a parachute!), I’ve learned the sky is my happy place. And yes… I may or may not be lightly encouraging my son to become a pilot. Purely coincidental. Totally not self‑motivated.”
Coffee or tea?
“Growing up, my parents drank so much coffee that I swore I’d never touch the stuff — dramatic child logic at its finest. But then motherhood hit, and suddenly coffee went from ‘suspicious brew’ to ‘daily lifeline.’ Now even the smell makes me smile. So yes… coffee won. My younger self would be shocked. My mom might be proud. Still undecided.”
