We are seeking individuals for a work-from-home position of Retirement Plan Consultant. The individual in this role will be part of a team responsible for all aspects of compliance and administration for a block of retirement plan clients and for assisting Client Service Managers in answering detailed technical questions.

The position requires experience in 401(k) plan administration, including experience preparing compliance testing, trust accounting, eligibility and contribution calculations, Form 5500s with audits, and performing ERISA research and consulting.

Primary Job Objectives

  • Manage the production, prioritization, and quality control for a book of small and mid-sized retirement plans
  • Assist with distribution calculations including loans, loan payoffs, and QDRO calculations
  • Assist team members and complete projects and calculations such as missed deferral opportunities and plan audits
  • Assist team members with research and consulting on plan administration projects
  • Interact with Client Service Managers and employers on complex plan issues and serve as the subject matter expert

Skills / Experience / Credentials

  • 3+ Years Retirement Plan Experience
  • Understanding of Retirement Plan Compliance
  • Understanding of Daily Recordkeeping Processes
  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
  • QKA or Equivalent Credential
  • Relius Administration experience is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and see tasks through to completion
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and project deadlines
  • Strong independent work ethic
