Jim Hudson

Jim founded July Business Services in 1994, after practicing as a Certified Public Accountant and providing retirement plan services for more than 20 years. Along the way he acquired an expertise in designing and providing compliance and administration services to qualified retirement plans. He is an experienced veteran of the retirement plan industry with more than 35 years of experience. As Chairman Jim is involved in the management and oversight of ERISA, Technical, Legal and Tax matters. Jim leads our ERISA technical services team and works closely with retirement plans considering the IRS Correction Programs.
Jim has a B.B.A. in Accounting from Baylor University; his background is in income tax planning and compliance. He is a member of ASPPA and a frequent speaker on retirement plan topics and ERISA technical topics for financial advisors and for industry organizations, and has been a past speaker at U.S. Department of Labor training sessions.
It is Jim’s depth of knowledge and technical ERISA resource that gives him the foundation to lead JULY in the retirement plan marketplace.
John M. Humphrey

John co-founded JULY in 1994. As CEO, he is responsible for setting the firm’s vision and providing top-level leadership of the organization. This includes developing and implementing JULY’s strategic plan, overseeing the company’s financial plan, developing key advisor and institutional relationships, and creating high-level staffing plans to serve clients and achieve goals. Prior to joining JULY, John practiced as a CPA with several national accounting firms, including Ernst & Young in Dallas. He is also involved in software development, product development, process improvement, team building, and providing strategic management support to JULY’s overseas outsourcing company. John’s passion for his work helps support JULY’s overall vision of Building Retirement Security and fosters a company culture of innovation, quality and caring.
John graduated from Baylor University with a Master of Taxation. He is a member of ASPPA (the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries), served as past President of the ASPPA Benefits Council of Central Texas, and is an Alumni of Leadership Waco.
Away from work John enjoys spending time with family, traveling, kayaking, fishing, and watching Baylor sports.
Blake Willis

Blake is a partner of July Business Services and is JULY’s Chief Operating Officer. With over 20 years of industry experience in all facets of retirement plan sales and operations, Blake works to enhance JULY’s focus on operational and service excellence. He drives operational improvements and offers executive leadership to the firm’s core operations, including recordkeeping, administration, actuarial and client services.
Prior to his role as COO Blake lead JULY’s sales and installation teams, including developing new institutional relationships and sales channels, representing JULY as a public speaker, and supplying technical and sales support to sales team members and advisors.
Blake has a master’s degree in accountancy from Baylor University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from, and was selected as the Outstanding Spring 2000 Graduate of, Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business. He also was selected for the spring 2000 Accounting Education Foundation Excellence Award. He has served as an adjunct professor at Baylor’s Hankamer School of Business and is a member of ASPPA, the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries. He enjoys spending time with his wife and two young boys, attending Baylor sporting events, hiking and playing sports, and is a deacon and active member of Highland Baptist Church.
Sheri A. Baker

Sheri is a partner of July Business Services and is JULY’s Chief Financial Officer. In this role, she is responsible for the overall management of JULY’s financial reporting and leading JULY’s accounting team who manages client billing, vendor invoicing/contracts, and other accounting responsibilities. Sheri is also responsible for providing strategic financial input to executive management and implementing financial processes. Sheri was President of Summit Benefit Solutions which merged with JULY in 2019. Sheri has been involved in accounting and financial services since the late 1980’s and working with pension administration since 2001. Sheri graduated from Davis and Elkins College, and her credentials include: CPA, PFS and APM. She also holds her Series 66 and Ohio Accident, Health, Life and Variable Annuity License.

Outside of the office, Sheri serves on the Mid Atlantic Trust Company Recordkeeping Advisory Board and on the Finance Committee of Silver Creek Association. Sheri is a past member of Therapy Dogs International, through which she volunteered with her Spanish Water Dog, Nina Baker. She enjoys skiing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Matt Welstead

Vice President Business / Process Analyst View Details
Matt leads the recordkeeping team responsible for daily processing, trading, and reconciliation of JULY’s recordkeeping platform. He also supervises the participant distributions and technology teams and monitors JULY’s organizational performance through KPI metrics. Matt’s 17+ years in the industry have provided him experience in many areas including plan administration, distributions, plan documents, process improvement, and recordkeeping.
Matt graduated from Baylor University with a BBA in Finance and a Master’s in Taxation. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Qualified 401(k) Administrator by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.
Matt enjoys spending time with his family attending Baylor sporting events and spending time outdoors especially bicycling, hiking, running, and playing soccer. He is involved in his local church where he serves as a deacon and participates in a mentoring program at a local elementary.
Heather Stewart

Heather manages a team of retirement plan consultants that provide plan administrative and ERISA services to our clients. She oversees the preparation of the annual retirement plan reports, retirement plan tax compliance, consulting, plan documents, as well as answering administration and ERISA questions. She has worked in all aspects of retirement plan administration at July Business Services since December 2001. Heather is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA), a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA), a Qualified 401(k) Administrator and a member of ASPPA.
Heather graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Accounting.
Away from work, Heather spends enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Michelle joined JULY in 2012 and provides oversight and strategy directly to JULY’s Client Services and Marketing Departments. She is responsible for the delivery of quality service to plan sponsors and advisors. She also manages many of JULY’s key institutional relationships.
In addition, she supports JULY’s Marketing & Communications Department—responsible for JULY branding, marketing initiatives, event planning and client facing communications. Since entering the retirement industry in 1995, Michelle has dedicated her career to assisting advisors and plan sponsors with achieving retirement plan goals and managing multi-faceted client relationships with firms such as The 401(k) Company and Schwab Retirement Plan Services.
Michelle’s education includes a BS in Accounting from Park University and BBAs in Marketing and General Business from Tarleton State University. She is a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) by the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries. Outside of the office, Michelle enjoys running, mountain biking, and following her two daughters in competitive cheer and softball.

Marcus Brooks

Marcus Brooks is a member of Winstead’s Taxation, Employee Benefits & Private Business Practice Group. Marcus focuses primarily on tax work with a focus on tax controversy and tax litigation. He has represented clients in a variety of income tax and transfer tax matters at audit, before the IRS Appeals Office, before the U.S. Tax Court, in the U.S. District Court, and before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He has served as lead counsel in tax cases involving million dollar adjustments in both the U.S. Tax Court and U.S. District Court. Marcus has also represented clients in contested matters with state and local taxing authorities.
In addition, Marcus routinely advises clients on federal and state tax matters connected to significant business transactions and general compliance issues. He has advised a broad range of taxpayers—including private and publicly-held companies, estates, and individuals—on a wide array of tax issues including complex partnership tax matters, corporate tax issues, international taxation and transfer pricing strategies, state tax implications of interstate business activity in various states, and exemption issues.
Marcus’s practice routinely puts him at the intersection of complex business and litigation matters. He has been fortunate to be able to serve as outside general counsel for a number of his clients and takes pride in helping them solve problems and seize opportunities effectively and efficiently.
After law school Marcus served as a law clerk for The Honorable James L. Dennis of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Marcus also serves as an adjunct professor at Baylor University Law School, where he teaches an application course covering federal taxation of closely held business entities, and has taught classes in Baylor University’s Masters of Taxation Program, covering federal tax research and procedure.

Donald has given keynotes, seminars, workshops, and specialized training for the following organizations: State Bar of Texas, Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Town Lake Toastmasters, Texas State Association of Fire and Emergency Districts, University of Texas Professional Development Center, Lion’s Club International, American Society for Quality, and the Austin Human Resource Management Association. Donald enjoys speaking and adds humor and stories to all his presentations.
Donald earned a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from Baylor University, a Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law, and a Master of Divinity with Biblical Languages from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He is a member of the American Society for Quality, the State Bar of Texas, and the National Eagle Scout Association. Donald is happily married and has two children.
Larry Morrison

Morrison’s accounting expertise is centered around construction, manufacturing and not-for-profit industries. He has held advisory board positions with multiple clients and has owned multiple companies from start-up to eventual sale. His previous work includes: Internal Audit–Bank One Corporation; External Audit–Coopers & Lybrand (NKA PricewaterhouseCoopers).
Morrison graduated with a BA, Business Administration with Accounting emphasis, Wittenberg University. His professional certifications include: Certified Public Accountant and Registered Investment Advisor. He is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Morrison has served his community in a variety of roles, including: Board Member, Wynford Local School District Board of Education; Past Board Director, North Central Chapter of OSCPA’s; Board Member, Crawford Development Board, Inc.; Telethon Guest host, Rehab Services of North Central Ohio; and Volunteer Assistant Football Coach Wynford High School.

Pam Pryor

Director, Human Resources View Details
Pam Pryor is an experienced Human Resources professional that joined JULY in 2004. In her role as Human Resources Director, Pam is responsible for identification, recruitment and orientation of new employees, managing and overseeing employee compensation and benefits administration, and assisting our team in implementing employee training and development programs. She is also responsible for workplace law and regulations, performance management, employee relations and the management of social committees.
She is an active member of the local Heart of Texas SHRM Association, a member of the National SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management), and a certified and experienced instructor of Model-Netics, a management training and development program offered through the Main Event Management Corporation. This program is utilized by JULY to train new and experienced managerial employees.
In her free time Pam enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with her family, and focusing on health and fitness.

Jason is JULY’s Director or Recordkeeping and came to JULY in 2019 via Summit Benefit Solutions. He has been in the retirement plan industry since 2005 and is currently responsible for managing JULY’s core recordkeeping team and platform which includes: trading, reconciliation, client quarterly reports and statements, distributions, projects, and manager requests. Jason is a key driver in process improvement initiatives and is critical in pushing many strategic initiatives forward.
Jason earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with specialization in Finance, from The Ohio State University. While not at work you will find Jason spending time with his family, coaching his kids little league teams, watching NASCAR races and enjoying time with friends. Jason resides in Lexington, Ohio with his wife Alisha and their two children, Lydia and Luke.
Jessica Maxwell

Senior Director, Client Services View Details
Jessica is the Senior Director of Client Services and directs a team responsible for delivering quality service to plan sponsors, advisors and plan participants. Jessica entered the retirement industry in 2004 and joined JULY in 2006.
In addition to leading the Client Services Team, Jessica serves as a technical subject matter expert for complex plan design and compliance matters such as nondiscrimination testing, control groups, affiliated service groups and the IRS Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS).
Jessica attended Indiana University and graduated with a double major in Finance and Computer Information Systems. Jessica is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) with the IRS, a Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and a Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) with the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).
Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her husband and twin daughters, attending sporting events, live music, traveling, and yoga.
Jeremy Hykel

As Director of New Business, Jeremy leads the team responsible for the installation of all plans utilizing JULY’s services. Jeremy works with his team to ensure that the client on-boarding experience is seamless, educational, and efficient. His team is responsible for guiding clients through the installation process by conducting plan education training with plan sponsors, providing enrollment materials to advisors, working with custodians to establish retirement accounts, and coordinating conversions from prior recordkeeper providers. Jeremy has been with JULY since 2007 and managed the JULY Distributions Department before moving to the Client Implementation Team.
Jeremy is a graduate of the University of Texas in Arlington, holds the professional designation of QKA (Qualified 401k Administrator) with the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and is certified as a Distribution Administrator with the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA).
In his free time Jeremy enjoys spending time with family, reading, exercising, and being involved with the local church.
Megan Knapp

Marketing & Events Coordinator View Details
Megan’s primary responsibilities include marketing, business development, events coordination and project management. Prior to joining JULY, Megan worked in a similar role at Summit Benefit Solutions.
Megan holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with degrees in Marketing and Leadership from The University of Dayton.
Outside of the office, Megan is an active board member of the Richland Community Development Group and the Richland Young Professionals. Megan is an avid boater and enjoys the outdoors. She enjoys wake boarding, mountain biking, snow boarding, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Megan resides in Mansfield, Ohio with her husband Ryan, their two daughters, and their loyal dog, Lincoln.
Renee Leon

Director, Internal Accounting View Details
Renee leads and manages JULY’s Internal Accounting and Payroll Services teams. The Internal Accounting team is responsible for billing, collections, recording of financial transactions, and preparation of financial statements and related information. In addition, this team works closely with custodians and mutual fund companies to ensure that fees and revenue sharing are allocated appropriately. Renee also reviews all corporate related contracts and agreements to ensure our third party vendors meet our stringent security and quality requirements. JULY’s Payroll Services team provides payroll services to our retirement plan clients in order to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as ensure an easy integration with the retirement plan.
With entering the finance industry in 2001, Renee brings with her experience in corporate billing, payroll, sales team commission structures, and corporate real estate.
In her spare time, Renee enjoys attending her son’s 4-H events, listens to music, and spends time with family.
Greg Snyder

Director, Software Development View Details
As the Director of Software Development for JULY, Greg is responsible for leading our team of software developers to design and implement new internal and client-facing software applications. His teams focus on our proprietary CRM tool, public website, and client websites. In addition, he is critical in the creation and implementation of additional tools and resources that JULY offers its clients. Greg is a graduate from Baylor University with a BBA in Information Technology and Marketing. He entered the technology industry in 1995 and has extensive experience designing and implementing software solutions in the retirement industry. In his spare time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, playing piano and guitar, and cooking.
Aaron Leitzy

Aaron Leitzy

Director, Plan Administration / Compliance View Details
Aaron joined JULY with over 15 years of experience in the area of retirement plan administration. Aaron oversees TPA functions for JULY and also plays an important role with sponsors and advisors requiring complex plan designs.
Prior to beginning his administrative career, Aaron graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Economics. Outside of work, you can find Aaron working alongside his father on their family farm. Aaron is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys running, hiking, canoeing, hunting and spending time with his friends, family, and his chocolate lab.
Doug Mai

Director, Information Technology View Details
As Director of Information Technology, Doug leads the team responsible for the infrastructure, systems, and technology in use at JULY. He is a graduate of Texas State Technical College in both Systems Administration and Network Security and entered the field of information technology in 2000.
In his free time, Doug enjoys playing guitar and amateur astronomy.

Lead Actuary View Details
Lee serves as lead actuary for JULY. He has more than thirty years of experience consulting with clients on retirement actuarial matters including compliance, funding, accounting, strategy and plan design. His experience includes several major actuarial consulting forms and clients of all sizes.
Lee’s education and achievements include: Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, Member of the American Academy of Actuaries, Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, Enrolled Actuary, Member of the Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries, MBA in actuarial science from The University of Texas at Austin, BA from Baylor University.
In his free time Lee enjoys his daily jog, hiking in the hill country, and vacationing in Florida.

Teresa assists financial advisors and plan sponsors in designing and implementing retirement plans. Consulting, plan design recommendations and complex plan corrections are some of the things she enjoys most about her job. Teresa has been instrumental in developing the JULY ERISA Annual Conference. The ERISA Conference is an educational event that provides both technical and sales training for financial advisors and industry partners. The conference as well as her knowledge of ever-changing ERISA and IRS rules position her as a thought leader with whom advisors and plan sponsors can collaborate.
